The Craftsmen Series: Trench Shovel

9,500.00

The Craftsmen Series contains working man's tools recreated in copper pennies. The sculptures are entirely hollow and true to size. The ghostlike representations of the original tools question the value of labor and time inherent in the object. The Craftsmen Series: Trench Shovel is Webber’s newest addition to the series. This sculpture measures 28” x 7” x 2” and comes with a custom brass wall mount.

This piece is an original artwork by Philadelphia based artist, Stacey Lee Webber.  Webber's work has been curated into the permanent collections of The Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery in Washington DC, the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton MA, the Metal Museum in Memphis TN, the international Kamm Teapot Foundation and numerous private art collections around the world.
